Privacy Policy

The free list maker keeps your list in your own browser. Family Care stores medicines in your account to send reminders. Here is exactly what we collect and why.

Last updated: 2026-10-29

The short version

  • The free medication list maker keeps your list on your device. It is saved only in your web browser. We never receive it.
  • You do not need an account to make, print or download a list.
  • Family Care is different. If you subscribe and add someone's medicines, we store that information in your account so we can send reminders and alert family. We use it only for that.
  • We do not sell your information, we do not use health information for advertising, and pages that show Family Care information load no ads, analytics or chat tools.
  • You can delete your account, and everything in it, yourself at any time.

Information you keep in your browser

When you use the medication list maker, everything you type is saved in your browser's local storage on your own device, so it is still there when you come back. This includes:

  • medicine names, doses, times, instructions and pill appearance
  • the details you add about the person, such as name, date of birth, allergies, doctor, pharmacy and emergency contact
  • your choices for layout, print size and text size

This information is not sent to our servers. Printing and downloading as PDF, Word or Excel also happen in your browser.

To remove it, use Start a new list on the page, or clear your browser's site data for this website. If you use a shared or public computer, we recommend clearing it when you are done.

Information we collect

  • Account information. If you create an account, we store your name, email address and sign-in details so you can sign in.
  • Family Care information. If you subscribe to Family Care, we store what you enter for each person you care for (see the next section).
  • Payment information. Payments are handled by Stripe. We receive your subscription status, plan and payment history, but never your full card number.
  • Basic usage information. Like most websites, our servers and analytics tools may record information such as pages visited, browser type and approximate location based on your IP address. We use this to keep the site working and to understand which pages are useful. It never includes your medication list or Family Care information.

Family Care information

Family Care sends medication reminders by email and tells family members when a dose isn't marked as taken. To do that, we store in your account:

  • the person's name, and any optional details you add, such as date of birth, allergies, doctor, pharmacy and emergency contact
  • their medicines: name, dose, what it's for, times, instructions, pill appearance and refill date
  • the email address that receives reminders, reminder times and time zone
  • the names and email addresses of family contacts you add
  • a record of each reminder: when it was sent, and whether it was marked as taken or missed

How we use it. Only to provide Family Care: to send reminders, to record "I took them", to alert family contacts, and to show the information back to you. We do not use it for advertising, we do not sell it, and we do not share it with anyone except the service providers listed below, who process it only to run Family Care for us.

People who receive emails. Reminder recipients and family contacts get one confirmation email first, and nothing more until they confirm. Every email has a link to stop it. Their email address is used only for these emails.

How long we keep it. Reminder records are deleted automatically after 90 days. Everything else stays until you change it, delete the profile, or delete your account. If your subscription ends, reminders stop, and you can still view or delete your information.

Service providers

We share information only with service providers that help us run the site, under terms that limit how they use it, or when the law requires it:

  • Cloudflare hosts the site and our database.
  • Stripe processes payments.
  • Resend delivers our emails, including reminders and alerts.
  • Analytics providers (such as Plausible or Google Analytics) measure visits to public pages. They are not loaded on Family Care pages.

Cookies

We use cookies and similar storage only where needed: to keep you signed in, to remember your preferences (such as text size), and for basic analytics on public pages. Where the law requires it, we ask for your consent first.

Security and breach notification

Your account data is sent over encrypted connections and stored with access limited to the people who run the service. No system is perfectly secure. If health information in your account is ever acquired or disclosed without your authorization, we will tell you and the U.S. Federal Trade Commission, and the media where required, without unreasonable delay and no later than 60 days after we discover it, as the FTC's Health Breach Notification Rule requires.

Your choices and rights

  • See and correct your Family Care information at any time under Settings → Family Care.
  • Delete a profile there, or delete your whole account under Settings → Profile → Delete account. Deleting your account cancels any subscription and permanently removes your profiles, medicines, reminder records and family contacts.
  • Stop emails with the link at the bottom of any reminder or alert.
  • For anything else, email support@medicationlisttemplate.com. We answer within 30 days.

Children

This site is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. A parent or caregiver may add a child's medicines to their own Family Care account.

Changes to this policy

We will update this page when our practices change and show the date of the latest update at the top. If a change affects how we use Family Care information, we will email account holders before it takes effect.
